Thank you for looking at my gorgeous Chrysler affectionately know in the family as “The Beast” due it’s sheer size and road presence!
Originally manufactured in 1966 and imported from Oklahoma in 2003
The same family then owned this car for nearly 20 years being loved, cherished and taken to many local shows
Only 67000 original miles recorded
All the chrome and brightwork in very good condition
She has windows that wind down electrically to give pillarless Coupe look
I bought this car car as a summer car last year and spent over £2100 having the engine rebuilt and tuned as she wasn’t running correctly
This work included removing the cylinder heads and sent off for reconditioning, new gaskets and water pump were also fitted
New distributor, leads, heater hoses and drive belts ( power steering and alternator) were replaced together with new thermostat, head bolts and anti freeze
She’s finished in Powder blue (4759L) which was totally repainted in UK in 2006 with invoices to prove, the paintwork is generally very good with a couple of touch ins and age related blemishes but she is 56 years young
Previous owner had the following work done and documented in 2006/ 7
Engine reconditioned at 64000 miles
Seats reupholstered in a very delicate Italian leather which is showing some signs of wear and could probably do with a little tidy up but perfectly acceptable
New full head lining
New 4 barrel carburettor fitted
New Edelbrock air filter
New Pertronix electronic ignition fitted
New manual choke fitted
New body and door seals fitted
New belt line window seals fitted
New full carpet set fitted as per original
New starter motor
New power steering pump
Steering box reconditioned
Radiator reconditioned
All new front suspension
New brakes cylinders and shoes
My car has the benefit of power steering and brakes making her very easy to drive here in the UK
Huge sheaf of bills in the history file including a valuation of £20000 from MOPAR Euronats dated 2008
Original owners manual and old write ups from magazines included
Once warmed up she drives very smoothly and and sure footed, keeping up with modern traffic
The fuel gauge is temperamental but generally all is working as it should
A real head turner wherever she goes and is always the centre of attention at petrol stations and car shows!
