This charming example chassis BN1/ 160856 was supplied new to the UK with the registration OCD 930 in August 1954, the car was owned for a number of years by the Webster family from Leicestershire, the family had a bare-metal restoration completed on the back in the 1990s of which we have photographic documentation. Mr Webster’s father and grandfather both worked in the Healey factory and the story that was told to our client, when he purchased the car in 1999, is that the car had a Le-Mans conversion by the dealership in the 1960s, although we have no documentation to support this, the car has the correct 100M parts, correct 100M cylinder head, Darrington stainless exhaust manifold, high compression pistons, 100M camshaft, louvered Alloy bonnet, correct SU cabs & cold air box, alloy petrol tank and 100M badge.

In our clients ownership he has carefully and tastefully modified the Healey to what most consider to be the best and most desirable specification, the list follows; Jaguar S-Type 4 speed fully sync gearbox with overdrive on 4’th, 6 blade belt-fan, Lukas “Frame Thrower/ Fog lamp” (newer connected) Including chassis-bracket, Rear sports bumpers, Electric thermostat Kenlowe fan, Performance starter motor, Modern 12V alternator, Stainless big bore side exhaust, Denis Welsh distributer, Denis Welsh alloy sump, Denis Welsh front disk brake conversion, 6 ½” 72 spoke wire wheels and the original gearbox, alternator & starter, brake drums are still to-hand.

The car is not in concours show winning condition, our client wanted a highly useable and fully functional car with patina finish, on the mechanical side it has always been maintained by a local British mechanic who focuses on old-school British cars. There is a little bit of rust shown between the left door and front wing, per our photograph, the car has a MOT from June last year

Chassis BN1/ 160856 was featured in the original 'Top Gear' "The Car’s The Star" and in the 1962 British film 'The Fast Lady' with Julie Christie, Leslie Phillips and James Robertson Justice.

This car is located and registered in Altea, Spain with our client, any inspection is welcome and we can assist with transportation and registering the car in the UK. Open to offers.
