The mighty Healey, designed by Gerry Coker, rarely leaves one indifferent, and it is by far the first series that seduces us with the charm of this mythical British roadster. The three-speed gearbox, the foldable windscreen, the enormous grille and the windmill motifs on the bonnet transport us to another era. Imported from the USA in 2014; we know of its two French previous owners.
The model we are presenting to you was comprehensively restored in 2016. The mechanics were thoroughly overhauled.
Crankshaft grinding - cylinder head resurfacing - block resurfacing - replacing bolts - cylinder work - replacing bearings - replacing valves and guides - timing chain - block repainted in original colour - overhauled gearbox - replacing bearings - replacing valves and guides - replacing bearings - replacing valves and guides - timing chain - block repainted in original colour - gearbox overhauled - Replacement Overdrive - installation of twin fan - electronic ignition - installation of aluminium housing - replacement exhaust - radiator repair - SU carburettor repair. The coachwork was fully repainted in the original colour. The only obstacle standing in the way of originality is a Le Mans/ 100M-type bonnet held in place with a leather strap for added visual impact, as well as a pair of mirrors. The entire wiring loom was renewed on this occasion. The suspension is precise, the shock absorbers and wishbones are new, and the brakes are perfectly effective. The upholstery is immaculate, with a light patina that preserves its full authenticity. The carpets are fitted with tufted velour and in perfect condition; the dashboard is finished in dark blue, echoing the upholstery. All of the Smiths instruments operate perfectly. The original steering wheel is leather-trimmed, giving a nicer feel and a well-kept appearance. The wheels are finished in original colour and the chrome parts are in very good condition and gleam.
The restoration has been carried out to the very highest standards, not on a shoestring.
The car comes with a rollover bar and an Alpaca fabric hood, both navy blue. French registration as a collectible; delivery within Europe possible; warranty up to 36 months available.
