1971 Classic Fiat 500L LHD 24, 000 km
BVM 506K was first registered as CT565431 on 13th August 1971 in Catania, Sicily, Italy. We understand it had two owners prior to being fully stripped and restored in Italy in 2015/ 16. Prior to restoration it received its Italian MOT (Revisione del Esito Regolate) June 2015.
The restoration included most of the suspension being renewed, new brake assembly, major engine overhaul, new exhaust, new trim and seat cushions/ covering. Photographs of the restoration are available to view as detailed below.
It was then imported to the UK, bought by us and re-registered with a sympathetic registration number. The car has always been stored in an enclosed garage and has NEVER been out in the rain or driven on wet roads.
The car has done less than 500 km since restoration, and received an oil change after approx. 150 km.
BVM 506K is presented in the original specification of the Fiat 500L (see Wikipedia) and therefore is a genuine representative of this iconic car, which is fun to drive, cheap and easy to run and doesn’t take up much space!
Although the car is MOT exempt due to its classic car status, it received a MOT certificate on 4th March 2022 (with no advisories) to ensure its safety and roadworthiness. Similarly, MOT’s were obtained in May 2016, June 2017 and May 2019. Full documentation is available.
The car will be supplied with a genuine Fiat 500 toolkit, which is 80% complete, a genuine period Haynes Workshop Manual, a Driver Handbook and a small number of spare items, see photos.
We have scanned copies of the original Italian registration documents, which were submitted to and retained by the DVLA upon registering the car into the UK.
The condition of the car cannot truly be appreciated by photographs alone. The exterior paintwork is in very good condition and shows no signs of rust or rot. The interior is still as new with all instruments, gauges and switches in working condition. The engine starts reliably every time and has a battery which has been charged regularly when the car has not been in use.
The car was bought to complement another classic vehicle within the household, but unfortunately has not been used as much as we would have initially intended, and therefore we have chosen to sell it on, hoping somebody will make more use of her.
