This lovely old truck has recently arrived from the States and has just completed the registration process. It is now registered with a V5 and black/ silver plates fitted.
Super rare super cool super desirable 1951 Chevy 3100 5 WINDOW 1st series half ton pickup, it's a very solid truck having lived in a high altitude state most of its life.
Hot rod, lower it, your choice or simply leave it alone! It is 95% rot free, there is some rust in both side kick panels and where they join the floors . The chassis is rust free . No rust buckets here!!!!
The truck was originally blue but lighter than the repaint it has had many years ago.

Until a few months ago this truck was used on a fortnightly basis. It lived high in the mountains of Washington State and was used as a grocery getter and to carry recycling down to the nearby town. The old guy that owned it has used it regularly for the last 36 years!
The truck starts runs drives and stops well. It has been well maintained throughout the years and starts on the button.
There is a receipt from 1991 in the last owners name showing an engine rebuild costing $1384. She starts easily and runs well, no smoke no rattles.
We are currently completing a few jobs to include new windscreen glass and rubbers plus new door glass both sides as the current glass has cracks.
We are also replacing the door latch mechanisms and outer door handles which make the exterior door handles droop down( see pics)

Trucks of this standard come along very rarely, particularly the 5 window versions. Be quick this will sell fast.

This is an old vehicle and will always require a certain amount of "tinkering" to keep on the road.
You can either buy yourself an £8k scrapper recently dragged from out of a field, then spend a further £8k on getting it in some sort of useable shape or you can buy a genuine identity "proper" example of an historic vehicle that will only gain in value over the years! I only import genuine proper old trucks.
Sourcing , procuring and shipping these vehicles is a time consuming and expensive task. Everything has increased in price due to the pounds weakness since the brexit vote. The values of these vehicles are only going one way
