Description
After 43 years with its first owner, my father's 1978 VX1800 estate is now for sale as he is now unable to drive it. It is in remarkably clean condition and the large smooth white estate car is a real head turner. The car was rebuilt a few years back with new inner wings, outer wings and wheel arch repairs and painted the original colour with correct stripes. It had a full engine rebuild and a new (new) cylinder head with hardened seats. The interior has refurbished front seats and new carpet in the load area with the original piping. The original Motorola cassette player which I think was an optional extra, and would get LW/ MW if there was much to listen to. Most if not all suspension bushes have been replaced. It has almost unworn Michelin 185/ 70 13 tyres, though I'll admit that the rears are a few years old but look fine. It has just had new rear wheel cylinders, alternator, water pump and a general re-commission and has just passed an MOT with no advisories. The examiner was very impressed with the car's condition. I drove it 50 miles recently and I had forgotten how well it goes and handles surprisingly well. This is a very rare and unusual car and all enquiries are welcome.
