Here for sale is a lovely low mileage and low ownership example of a 1998 preface lift E39 5 series. The E39 is often regarded as the best BMW of all time and with the M5 in very high demand these days, a V8 version of the non m car looks to be good value these days. The car is in a lovely specification which features the generally bulletproof 3. 5 litre V8 engine which is smooth and surprisingly punchy. This V8 is mated to a very smooth automatic gearbox that is working well. The car is presented in a beautiful and subtle glacier green over a grey leather interior with walnut trim which all presents itself in fabulous condition.
The car features a good service history with many main dealer stamps. The car has undergone 8 main dealer inspections to make sure the car is in fine fettle and the most recent MOT has 1 advisory item.
All electricals work and mechanically seems good
The car comes with 3 keys and only has 1 private previous keeper. It is believed that the car was first registered by BMW as an ex-demo car. The first owner then bought the car in 1999 and owned it up until 2011. The next lady owner has had the car for the past 11 years.
The interior presents itself in extremely good condition and is genuinely close to like new condition. The leather is good and the carpets are free of staining. The mats have also been protected with rubber mats on top to preserve their condition
The exteriors paint is in great condition and is generally free of swirls with no dulling. However, there is the odd scratch, dent, scuff and a tiny dot of corrosion around 20p sized on a rear arch. However, it wouldn’t take much body work to get it into concourse condition. The car still looks good and the wheels are free of corrosion but do have the off small mark of curbing.
Overall, this is a truly lovely example and certainly would be a hard job to find another example that’s as clean and as honest as this one.
