I purchased this scooter approximately 3 years ago from Parr Speed in Chorley.
I bought it due to its excellent original paint condition, and in addition, it had never been taken to part so was totally ‘unmessed’ with.
I spent lockdown taking it completely to bits, so it could be completely checked, cleaned and reviewed for any damage. This was done with great care, every nut and bolt went back into its original position having individually been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. I know, I’m a bit over the top!!
The paint is 100% original, the engine was rebuilt with new bearing, seals, piston etc, and the bevel gears were set up by 'Disco Dez'. It didn’t need a rebore, as the there was absolutely no wear in the cylinder. It can only have done a low mileage, but I simply can’t confirm as they were never fitted with a speedo. 3 new tires and tubes were fitted, and all the cables were changed. It is fitted with its original exhaust which I had chemically cleaned internally then resprayed, again to keep the original part. No expense was spared on getting it into this condition.
Would make a lovely display in any collection, or to go out on occasionally
