This 2002 BMW Z3 3. 0i Sport edition is an excellent, unmolested example of a smart roadster that is increasingly thought of as a modern classic. It is powered by a naturally aspirated m52 3. 0-litre straight-six engine, with rear-wheel drive via a five-speed ZF manual gearbox. This Z3 has covered just 75077 miles from new.
First introduced in 2000, the 3. 0i sport became the new top-of-the-range model boasting 228bhp, Torsen limited-slip differential, revised suspension and updated electronic stability control as standard.
This example is a post-facelift widebody car, and is a genuine sport model that included the s704 option lowered suspension, which has subsequently been changed for Bilstein shocks all round. Finished in the cosmos black with black leather, this z3 has genuine mileage, and is presented in unmodified and original condition.
The paintwork is in good condition, with a smooth and even finish around the body, and only a few age related imperfections which is to be expected for a 20 year old car. The door jambs, as well as the bonnet and boot shuts, are in great shape, and the engine bay is clean and tidy. The 17-inch style 78 BBS wheels are like new having been refurbished within the last couple of years. Pretty much new Goodyear eagle f1's on each corner with relatively new discs and pads all round.
The heated sport seats are in excellent condition, with no rips or other damage to the black leather upholstery, and only wear commensurate with the age and mileage. The interior is complete with original BMW business radio, and the black trim is unspoilt. The boot area is in great condition, complete with six-disc cd changer, and the dark blue fabric soft top presents well and fits snugly.
Mot'd until may 2022, however, happy to put another years test on it for the next owner. Recent oil and filter change within the last 50 miles. Truthfully this car wants for nothing, and I've spent quite a bit of time and money on it over the past couple of months to use for the summer. Unfortunately with house projects starting to add up, I've got to sell. Last in, first out...
The car comes with all original items, owners manual, soft top cover, tools, etc.
I bought this car with the intentions of keeping it for the foreseeable, however needs must and the car has to go. Definitely the one to watch for future prices and investments.
