This car has its original patina and its body work has remained untouched for many many years
The best of both worlds cabriolet roof ready for hot summer
The car is very solid and was highly mechanically maintained until its sale to a private collector in 2008
The car has remained in his private collection since 2008 and has not turned a wheel
i bought this car with intention as a daily driver to use and not be bothered about people wanting to sit in the car or leave it unattended
Since i have had the car i have done the normal stuff, re-greased the kingpins, adjusted brake cables, tweeked the teleflex and neutral selector cable
i have also fitted ALL new engine mounts and rear swinging arm “doughnut“ rubbers to ensure
a piece of mind for future driving
The exhaust did have issues and seems to have a unnecessary repair in the wrong place the copper ring on cylinder head was non existent and has been replaced with a new one
I have also discretely installed a negative battery isolation switch under the bottom back seat
The car runs, drives and pulls very well and what seems to me, as i have got a few Messerschmitts as a nice changing gearbox and working neutral selector
I have used it very little through last summer due to a house move
The Messerschmitt comes with a brand new colour coordinated interior, there’s nothing wrong with the one thats in but its a option if you so wish
The car still needs little bits doing like the non existent fuel lever arm that i have no time to do at this moment in time but these are trivial things
i have a few micro cars, so with recent down size house move and the new garage being filled with general garage crap
All my microcars are now in storage and with most of my time renovating our new venture
so now giving someone the opportunity to buy it
