Welcome to my listing for my 1988 seat ibiza 1. 2 gl, possibly the rarest 80s supermini.
the car is nearly immaculate with one or two age related marks being very critical, it could be concours with very little effort. I bought it last october and have used it very little, the carburettor needed setting up so that's now been done, and the dash lights were inoperational so that's been fixed. Now my lancia thema turbo project is nearing completion and that will be the 'best' car on my fleet, so this deserves to take pride of place on someone else's driveway.
it's covered less than 31500 miles from new and i have no reason to believe this not to be genuine. It has the original book pack with lots of history and bills, a seat newspaper ad from 1988 and even an a-z of bournemouth which is where the car was supplied new by norman motors and spent the majority of its life. The interior is unmarked, the only non original items are a single cd player which i installed as the original radio/ cassette is not working, however it comes with this if you wanted to show the car, and the glx alloys which were added by the previous owner and are in my opinion a fantastic addition to the car as they must be one of the coolest alloy wheel designs ever. The tyres were new last year and the cambelt was replaced in september 2020. two of the alloys don't have the centre caps fitted, however those are inside the car.
the car has a full mot as of today so is valid until 11th may 2023. it really is a one off, a stunning looking car that so rarely comes up for sale and that you can just get in and enjoy.
