HERE is yet another 1960s vehicle from my very own classic car stable. As ever, my prices offer what arguably may be the best value for money classics in the UK. My business has celebrated 15 years of successfully sourcing antique vehicles and then re-homing them with their happy new owners. So here is my 1969 Vauxhall Cresta Deluxe.
The PC Cresta Deluxe was indeed different from the basic Cresta of the time. It came with twin headlights and up-rated trim both outside and in. It looks much better than the basic model with those headlights. Very American looking, that's for sure!
This mega rare example, with an immense history and just 71, 000 on the clock, stayed with its original owner for 21 years. Three more owners followed until it found its way to owner number five. That was six years ago. And it was he, a Lord of the Realm, from whom I acquired it. The history file reveals that in 2012 the Cresta was treated to an enormous amount of structural work with plenty of rotten metal cut out and plenty of new sections especially fabricated by a specialist company. Being white, some areas have begun to show their age and simple cosmetic work here and there would improve her no end. I am not suggesting that this is essential. Some would improve her; others would not.
So, she remains strong in the right places following the aforementioned work. Interior-wise, she is a delight. A true 6-seater back in the 60s with ever so comfortable seating and a lovely wood veneer dash. She is a 4-speed manual and drives superbly with that 3. 3 straight-6 engine. I have had her up to 70 mph and it was simply effortless for the old girl. Gears and brakes are all fine.
I consider this Cresta to be an absolute bargain (lucky you - it's all down to my buying powers!). Were she sorted cosmetically here and there, I would see her as a 7k example.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 53-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
