BMW R51/ 3 - 1951, 500cc, Black, absolutely totally beautifully restored as you can see in the pics, almost a true piece of art that should be in a display or someone's lounge, this machine has been rebuilt to the highest standard including hand painted stripes, wheels rebuilt, everything re-chromed, has to be seen to be believed, gorgeous to ride and nimble in modern traffic. i have all original sales manuals, full BMW workshop manual, a box full of receipts, spares, magazine articles, and a rosette from Stafford classic motorcycle show where it won best in show. I also have photo's from an owner in the 60's where it had a Steib sidecar fitted and a letter stating that this was his family's main form of transport back in 61. Even has it's original air pump and steering lock mechanism, original Bosch headlamp and chrome surround, speedo head, two original BMW glove box keys. I cannot underline everything here in writing but just to say the previous owner did the restoration some years back and then rode the bike extensively without missing a beat - i am only selling after 2 years of ownership due to lack of space , too many toys and no time to enjoy this machine. I know most of it's history since day one, a truly remarkable cherished classic up for grabs - don't miss out - these don't come up very often in this original condition.
