Drew Pritchards favourite car to date was this time warp Viva, owned by same owner Mike Dobson, bought by his mother for his 17th Birthday, Mike kept it all his life until his death in 2019.
Drew & Paul Cowland sourced the car and spent a fortune on it , putting Mikes original custom touches back to new , including re veneering the lovely veneer dash and door tops, new roof lining and suburb quality stitched roll bar in custom green cloth.
New mesh custom grill, refurbished original Dunlop D1 alloys, & rebuilt all the Koni shock absorbers and the saving the best until last the Bill Blydnenstein signed engine.
This engine was removed and given to Vauxhall expert Adrian Miller who rebuilt & repainted the Ultra Rare Blydnestein engine.
The engine bay has been detailed and painted.
No rot or rust, Paul Cowland commented about the remarkable condition of the body shell.
Every component has been repaired or replaced
All exceptional underneath which has been gone over and preserved.

Every gauge on the dash works , also working 8 track stereo, even the map reading light all works.

So rare to see all the original mods of the late 60’s & 70’s we used to fit on our cars of the day all in one car 56 years on.
Lotus Cortina mk1 centre arm rest, gorgeous period sport seats , with Viva GT rear seats . Sports aluminium steering wheel , Roll bar, side door opening lights, boot carpets all refurbished including working boot light.

Please note the body hasn’t been repainted and some period marks and dents has been left to add to the overall look of originality. Some areas has had some touch up over its 56 year life.
The Viva also featured in Custom Car Magazine June 1974, a copy of which will come with car. Bill Blydnestein himself has signed this engine and also has driven this car way back in 1974 & states it was best handling and quickest car in the day outside a drag machine !
