The Rover 200 BRM LE. The model was first shown at 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show and officially launched at the British Motor Show in October 1998 where the cars were based on the then top of the range Vi model but with the 1960's BRM Racing styling cues. There were originally just 795 cars produced for the UK Home market with a further 350 made for the overseas market. Records indicate that there are now just 89 cars registered in the UK now making this quite a rare car. All the cars produced were finished in Brooklands Green paintwork with the Orange Nose of the 1960’s BRM Formula One Racing team. Other exterior detailing of the BRM included the addition of Silver door handles and side mouldings, Large 16" Alloy Wheels and an exclusive Woven Mesh Front Grille that sat above the distinctive large orange snout. Inside the BRM the trim was very special with its Red Quilted Leather seats, Door panels, Red carpet, Seat belts and Steering wheel along with the inclusion of Alloy Heater Controls and Turned Aluminium trim, this car was certainly something different and very unique. Technically the BRM’s adjustments over standard car included the 20 mm Lower Ride height over the Vi and improved damping and handling, a close-ratio gearbox with a TorSen differential further developed from the Rover 220 Turbo.
