Description
This Toledo is possibly the best one for sale out there. The bodywork and underbody are excellent with no signs of rust anywhere. Interior is just as good; the wood dash is as good as new fitted with inertia front seat belts and currently has a Dolomite steering wheel fitted but I do have the original steering to refit if you prefer. It also has Dolomite Sprint alloy wheels fitted including a matching spare. I had just had 2 brand new tyres fitted to the rear and the two front tyres are also fairly new. I do have the original full set of 5 wheels and hub caps with decent tyres if you prefer.
Although the Toledo is Road Tax and MOT exempt it now has a full, 12 months, MOT on it with no advisories.
As I originally intended to keep this classic, I spent a lot of time and money getting to a very high standard mechanically now making it a very reliable and usable classic. I replaced all the front ball joints, new subframe mounts, Steering UJ plus I have fitted, not standard on the Toledo, a front and rear Anti-roll bars. This stops the car roll on corners and has really improved the driving experience. I have also had fitted a new complete stainless steel exhaust system.
I also flushed out the cooling system and replaced with fresh 33% anti-freeze mixture , replaced the oil and filter, fitted new spark plus, HT leads and distributor cap. For reliability I have also fitted a Power Spark electronic ignition and a new distributor. This list goes on this does mean this Toledo is now a very reliable classic, starts, runs, and drives well.
It comes with a comprehensive history file with a full list of all the work I have done and had done. Plus, it’s fitted with a period Eight Track Player radio unit with tapes of your choice.
Note that the mileage can not be guaranteed. The faulty speedo was replaced early 2000s before MOT became available online. It is currently showing less than 5k. However, I do have the original service book stamped by the dealer up to 1980 showing less than 25k plus the MOT history since 2006 showing an average of 109 per year. Therefore the 50k is a advised guesstimate based on this and the condition and how the car runs.
If you are looking for a Toledo do not miss this one – You will not be disappointed
