I’m sadly selling my rare manual, UK 2003 V70R, after scratching an itch, and now needing to be a little more sensible.
I’ve had her for a year and a half, and in that time she’s wanted for nothing. Prior to my ownership, the previous keeper had her for 11 years and there is an extensive thread on VPCUK detailing the huge amount of care which has been lavished on her over that time. Email me for the link as it doesn’t seem to show. The mentioned 3” file of paperwork is still present!

She’s now showing 171k, but if you read the above link, you’ll realise that all the areas of concern with these fantastic cars have been addressed.
The cambelt and water pump were replaced last year after contamination from a cam seal failure, along with the VVC pulleys. The rear springs were also replaced at this time (£1200). She also had a new fuel pump requiring the rear end including diff and fuel tank to come out (£900).
The interior is the unsubtle, but stunning, Atacama and is in excellent condition with no scrapes or holes. I was going to refinish it, and to that end, have a colour matched Furniture Clinic kit (£150), which has everything needed which will be included.
The rear seats have the excellent “family pack”, which includes built-in booster seats, a middle tray and cup holder set up which is perfect for kids. 2 sets of mats are included, 1 black and 1 barely used Atacama. There is an Atacama boot carpet, and a Volvo load area cover which Velcro’s up the side and back of the seats to protect the carpet. The standard luggage cover is also present.
The drivers seat is electric, both seat heaters work perfectly, and the Volvo stereo is excellent, and has a boot floor sub woofer. It also benefits from Bluetooth so you can play music through it.
The lights front and rear have been upgraded to facelift spec, there is a subtle front lower lip spoiler, and the wipers have also been upgraded. The previous keeper was fastidious in the extreme!
She drives absolutely spot on, and the surge from the turbocharged 5-pot engine is always a thrill. The added bonus of being a rare manual makes it a proper drivers car. Oh, and the exhaust note is addictive!
The MoT is due at the end of September but I’ll probably sort a fresh one prior to sale.
The V70RWW registration will remain on the car.
I do have a second set of matching alloys with winter tyres which will be available separately.
