To expand and diversify its market share, in 1958 Garelli merged with another Italian manufacturer called Agrati who were producing a successful range of scooters called the Capri with engines ranging from 50 to 125cc. With the ever-increasing competition for buyers in Italy, Garelli found a growing demand for scooters overseas so the majority of Capri scooters were exported to this new market. This 80cc model came in three specifications and used a Minarelli engine.
This Model D dual seat Capri is said by the owner to be in very good condition and apart from the wheels has not been restored.
Comes with – a current V5C, a Capri Scooter instruction manual and a spare wheel.
This and approximately 100 other motorcycles will be sold by auction on the weekend of July 30th and 31st at Showell Farm, SN15 2NU. Please note that this bike cannot be purchased prior to auction.
