GCS Hawke Cortina based factory-built car.
Been in my ownership for 24 years.
The V5 shows make as GCS Hawke Sports (chassis number 007) and has historic tax class so is tax free.
Have every MOT, 28 in all, 1994 to 29/ 07/ 2023. Mileage 12 to 70414 miles. The car was featured on the front cover of Which Kit April 1994. I have a laminated copy of the cover and the article.
The car now has a 3. 9 Rover V8 lightened and balanced flywheel, hot road cam, Stage 1 heads, ported and polished, 250 BHP.
Exhaust system 4 into 2 into 1 each side. Stainless steel from manifolds back, with repackable boxes. Competition clutch as the Vitesse clutch could not cope with the torque. Has an uprated Vitesse gear box with bigger bearings. Edelbrock inlet manifold with 4-barrel Weber carburettor. 2000 miles ago spent £985-00 on electronic ignition system, rolling road test, carb adjustment and power test. In my ownership everything has been reconditioned or replaced except the diff, even complete rewire and all new lights. The list is endless.
This is not a poser’s car, sounds awesome and is very quick but needs some TLC to paint and trim.
Reason for sale, have too many cars and need the room.
