Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. 1965 mild custom.
I've had this a couple of years but not really using it so I'm selling it. I've probably only done 500 odd miles in it.
Built in California, finished in a dark purplish/ red metallic that really pops in the sun. Interior has bucket seats up front and is nicely upholstered. My other half reckons its the most comfy car she's ever ridden in.
It really does drive nicely, just about everything works as it should. Its rebuilt 330 inch engine will cruise 70-80 all day and starts on the button. Still has its original switch-pitch automatic which works fine, but a TH200-4R trans is to be fitted soon. Power (drum) brakes & steering as you'd expect. Exhaust sounds nice and looks virtually new.
The whole under-dash wiring loom has been refurbished and new fusebox fitted. Relays have been added to various circuits.
Wheels are 17" torque-thrust style. The low profile modern tyres really do help with the handling.
Faults: there is some bubbling here & there on the body, especially along the upper glass - common on these apparently- it hasn't gotten any worse since I've had it. The chrome on the bumpers is starting to get rust spots. Typical California plating!
But the chassis & underbody is solid as a rock.
