Panhard PL17 sedan for sale
The French manufactored car company during the time of the 1960's, was commissioned to build the Panhard in South Africa, under the command of a South African Colonel, under SA licensing. Panhard Dyna wanted to sell these cars to the South African armed forces, and marketing was done to test the market. One, yes ONE Panhard was made and imported to South Africa, using special fibre glass panels , unlike the usual alloy panels.
You read right this car if full fibre glass, the moulds were lost in time, and this being the only one is South Africa with this spec.
Aircooled motor as per factory spec.
Imported by Ronvale Motors in Edenvale in 1963 as a Chassis and at this time the moulds were made in SA, this being the only prototype made in SA.
Due to lack of interest of the South African market and the loss of French connections, the project was abandoned. Leaving us with 1 or 1 in SA .
