History
The Ala d'Oro 250 made its appearance in 1960, shortly after the 175. Initially it was just a road bike prepared for racing, but later the evolution led to solutions specifically developed for racing use. like a new chassis with plates in the rear area (1966), and the suspension and brakes.
the Ala d’Oro was probably the 250 of greatest interest for private drivers and juniors.
In the competitive curriculum there are no less than nine Italian Mountain Championships (won between 1965 and 1973, and four Juniores titles, while among those conquered abroad, the two victories in the Daytona 100 miles (1963 and 1964) should be mentioned.
