Description
A rare example of a Singer motorcycle dating from 1912. Singer are better known for there bicycles which is what they started manufacturing in Coventry - England as early as 1874. They are also known for there cars; but during period of about 15 years from 1900 till 1915, they manufactured motorcycles and this 1912 example is one of the few remaining. Restored a number of years ago to running condition it has been the pride and joy of Singer collector and enthusiast. Sadly, due to ill health, the time has come for it to find a new enthusiastic custodian. The bike has been dry stored for at least the last five years and will require some light recommissioning. Having looked over it, this is only going to be superficial works; like cabling, fuel lines, the odd nut and bolt etc etc. The wheels are nickel plated with quality coach lining with good 26 inch x 2. 1/ 2 inch beaded edge tyres fitted.
