Beschreibung
A rare Singer (of Motorcar manufacture) edwardian bicycle dating from c. 1909. Frame Number 432885. Renovated many years ago in a deep burgundy with hand gold lining to the main frame tubes. Now showing signs of use and a new owner might want to touch in some of the paintwork. Nickel plated cranks and fittings including the 28" inch rims. Fully enclosed chain-case with a hand painted 'Singer' logo. Nice nickel plated brass Lucas No. 61 bell with a proper 'RING'. Powell & Hamner acetylene lamp is in fine condition and may even be new old stock! Union Jack flag mounted on the handlebars. Later K-type Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gear fitted with a 'Lodge Engineering Co gear lever. The bicycle is ridable, but would benefit from a 'service', as it has just emerged from long term storage. A fine and rare edwardian English bicycle from a well known maker of Motorcars. More images on our website.
