Purchased many years ago in France as a frame/ forks/ chain-set and pedals. Then built up as a period style French racing bicycle with period 700c narrow racing westwood rims and period hubs. (note: the rear rim has a slight flat spot, but is not noticeable while riding). New 1" inch pitch narrow laminated block chain driving a rare 1" pitch free-wheel. 700c Schwalbe cream tyres fitted. A single calliper brake on the front rim with period lever. Lovely dropped racing handlebars with original wood grips. The frame has the sloping top tube style which was common of the period and on earlier bicycles. Rat trap pedals, period French leather saddle and bag and rear axle mounting step. A bit of a 'period special' and great fun to ride. The jingling little rumble bell on the handlebars makes to feel like Jacques' Tati.
