Description
A rare opportunity to add authentic wireless reception to your vintage motorcar. This Philco K-628T car radio is rare. Its designed to run off 12 volts and as it has a synchronous vibrator unit, will run on positive or negative earth cars. This is a superheterodyne receiver of medium and longwave bands. The power is switched by a small slider on the remote control unit designed for under dash mounting. There are 2 control cables and power going to the main receiver 'box' that incorporates the loudspeaker. There is an in-line aerial adaptor for normal plug insertion. The power is fused and the usual current draw is about 2. 3 amps. The control cables are 21 inches long. The radio unit is 7 x 9 x11 inches approx. There are two fixing brackets for the car that need to be added to with fixtures in your car. I don't have more than what you see here. Weight of the radio unit is high at about 8. 5Kg. This set is solidly made and VERY hard to find in this condition. Finding ANY 1930's is hard.
