Description
1958 Singer Gazelle OHC saloon with Overdrive.
Rare series II 1496cc Singer engine in running order, good oil pressure , doesn't smoke or breathe but has a metallic tapping from top rear of engine. Drives well on the road, doesn't wander, no nasty noises from suspension, steering etc and brakes work well.
Very solid having had little in the way of welding but bubbling on door bottoms. Sills, floors, arches, wings are all excellent.
Some replacement chrome work fitted.
Interior original and shows its age. Prior to me acquiring it as a project in 2019 it had been barn stored for nearly 40 years.
I've used it fairly regularly for 25-30 mile journeys without drama.
I'd wanted one for 40 years, now it's time to move it on for someone else to tinker with and enjoy. Original transferrable reg, car would look good on any show field even it's no prize winner.
Half the price of some other Gazelle saloons - p/ ex or swap considered.
Will be sold with original hub caps and cross-ply tyres.
