The Amphicar is a unique chapter in the history of the car. It is a car that can sail and drive but is a compromise. \so it is a boat that does not go through the water optimally and a car that is not among the best performing on the road. It is made of considerably thicker steel and therefore a bit heavier. It has two screws and steers with the front wheels. Any incoming water can be discharged with a bilge pump. The engine is that of the British Triumph Herald. At the time, the Amphicar cost about the same as two Volkswagens. About 3000 of them have been made.
This copy has been fully restored and looks like new. The color is light green with a yellow/ white interior. Ready to launch and sail.
