Selling my beloved 1956 Panhead chopper that I imported from New Jersey 5 years ago.
My absolute dream bike but it just doesn't get ridden enough so a very reluctant sale.
The bike started out looking very different but I have spent the past few years searching out all the parts on it, sourced mostly from the US.
Fully UK registered bike as 1956 Harley, Tax and MOT exempt.
Start easily, runs strong, no leaks.
Featured in Greasy Kulture magazine a few years ago.
It is an original frame, transmission and engine, including Linkert M74b carb.
All of the parts are period chopper parts except the seat, handlebars and sissy bar.
The front end is off a k model Sportster 33. 4mm, with shaved lowers and re-chromed with drum brake front wheel. It also has original MCM FC1 fork covers that have been re-chromed. Original Bates headlight and bracket, Flanders 7/ 8 pull back risers, Arie Vee pre unit style 7/ 8 handlebars.
Original 'made in England' Wassell petrol tank with hand painted design. Foot clutch and custom rose hand shifter. Original Harley kicker and brake rubbers. Custom leather cobra Bates style seat. Mechanical rear brake with 19 inch rear wheel. Rear Wassell style mudguard, custom stainless sissy bar with original WW1 bayonet welded on as original 60's style. Original rare Ron Finch tail light. Avon tyres front and back, Cycle Electric generator, Upswept exhaust, aged paintwork, lots of small details throughout the entire bike.
A true one off bike that looks like it has come straight out of the 60's.
I have a folder of all receipts of parts and copies of the original US paperwork and full UK V5 certificate in my name.
