Ferrari launched the F430 at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. The heart of the car was a new V8 engine that produced 483 BHP, an increase of 23% over its 360 Modena predecessor. The engine’s plenum chamber had a red crackle-finish and was visible through a glass panel in the engine cover which created additional drama.
Visually the F430 was an evolution of the 360 with redesigned air intakes and Enzo-style tail-lights. Driving characteristics could be controlled by the ‘Manettino’ switch on the steering wheel and transmission was operated by either F1-style paddles or, a 6-speed manual gearbox which featured the classic Ferrari gated shift. The F1 was by far the most common variant whilst the manual gearbox accounted for around only 10% of total production. As the F430 has now become a modern classic manual examples are the most sought after by enthusiasts.
Our Ferrari F430 was supplied from new with a manual gearbox by UK Ferrari importers Maranello Sales of Egham. It is thought less than 130 Coupes were supplied to the UK in manual form.
The new car was registered on the 21st June 2005 and delivered to its first owner the same day.
The body was finished in Argento Nurburgring (silver) with optional shields to both front wings and the interior was trimmed in tasteful Blue Scuro (dark Blue) leather with carbon inserts to the dashboard.
The car was enjoyed by four owners until it was purchased in July 2015 by the current owner with just 25, 766 miles showing. Since then the Ferrari has covered an average of only 1, 600 miles per year with just under 38, 000 miles currently showing on the odometer.
The car has been maintained correctly by Maranello Sales Ltd. and respected specialists and is consequently in great condition. New brake discs and pads were fitted in July 2022 and the car has a fresh MOT and service by Rardley Motors which also included the installation of new suspension bushes.
The Ferrari comes with its original toolkit, tyre compressor and Schedoni leather handbook pouch containing owner’s manuals and stamped service book.
In summary, this is an opportunity to acquire a low-ownership Ferrari F430 equipped with the rare and desirable manual gearbox and finished in an attractive colour combination. A very appealing package.
