Description
This is a motorbike we know very well having been owned by a member of our sales team for the last year. The Triumph has been subject of a sympathetic mechanical overhaul, leaving it in brilliant running order with a strong engine, gearbox and brakes.
After manufacture in 1965 the Tiger spent the majority of its life with one owner before being sold on to a collector in Lincolnshire in more recent years who commissioned a full restoration of the the motorcycle.
Following its restoration the Triumph stood in a collection before changing hands to the current owner in 2022. In recent months several hundreds of pounds have been spent on installing new rubbers and fork gaitors, new centre stand springs, a full service, carburettor tune up, and most importantly a complete overhaul of the charging system with a 12volt conversion carried out by a local specialist.
The Triumph now presents nicely as an older restoration that could easily be used on the road or could be equally as at home in a collection. The paintwork is commensurate with an older restoration and is therefore not without the odd blemish but was clearly finished to a very high standard at the time of completion. The brightwork is delightful, the tyres are in good order, and overall the Tiger is a lovely honest bike that is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
