This lot will be auctioned via Classic Car Auctions, The June Timed Online Sale on Sunday the 25th of June, Online Sale.
First registered in 1991, the Scamp is basically a fully convertible, Mini-based kit car
Vendor built, it has a Wolseley grille, and comes with an interesting frame construction
Made from 40mm box section steel, it is extremely strong and rigid. All the panel-work is 1. 5/ 2. 0 mm alloy sheet
The floor is laminated alloy for extra strength and drilled for drainage, it can be hosed out if need be
There is no rear subframe, a Mini weak spot, the suspension is bolted to the frame making it very light
Powered by a 998 A-Series with a rod change box (any A-Series will fit straight in)
The engine bay has been built with ease of access in mind, as both inner wings are removeable for maintenance
The wiring and fuel/ brake lines are indoors out of harms way. The braking system has a proportioning valve (variable) next to the drivers seat, as well as an hydraulic line lock to the rear brakes (not to be used as a parking brake)
Both doors are easy to remove, as is the roof. The rear of the car has a tilt with windows to sides and rear with zip (see pictures)
Sitting on 12-inch Minilites, the clocks are Mini Clubman and the seats are full leather from an Alfa 156
The car is approximately 9-feet from bumper to bumper. It's currently on SORN but will be sold with a fresh MOT
The vehicle is located in Buckinghamshire
