A very original early Series 1 3. 8 E Type. This genuine Right Hand Drive Coupe has spent the majority of its life in South Africa. As a result the majority of the body is original, having lived in such a warm dry climate.
Dispatched from the UK to the Distributors in Durban, South Africa on the 3rd January 1964. It was delivered to its first owner Mrs T McDonald. Its current South African owner loved the car so much that he brought it back to the UK in 2017. This is when we got to know the car.
The car comes with a significant history file having in recent years had a great deal of mechanical work. A significant amount of this by us. The result is that you have a very original car with wonderful Patina that you can jump straight in, drive and enjoy. Some would leave 'as is' and enjoy this level of originality. For others this car would be a great basis in order to refresh and restore some areas and take it to the next level. The price that concours level early 3. 8's achieve, would mean that if careful your money invested on improvements would not be wasted.
