The Midas is an all fibreglass monocoque, no chassis to rust, with Metro subframes. She weighs just 700 kilos so the power to weight ratio is very good. The road holding has to be experienced to be believed, it really is like driving on rails! The acceleration is lusty and she sounds fantastic. Just serviced by me: engine flush, oil and filter change, cooling system flush and new anti-freeze. New Metro vented discs and pads at front, rear brakes cleaned and adjusted, hand brake adjusted, plugs cleaned and gapped etc.
She has Hydro-elastic suspension at the front with an anti-roll bar, and adjustable coil spring dampers at the rear, this set up works really well.
The interior is properly carpeted, all edges sown, 2 comfortable bucket seats, and the driving position is superb.
The exterior is unmarked with no crazing apart from a small area on the front bumper where I hit a pheasant last month!
There is a spare MG Metro cylinder head and 6 spare Metro Turbo wheels and tyres to be included in the sale.
I use this car every day and it is a joy to drive. I have a genuine reason for sale and had not planned to be selling her.
