General Information:
In the period 1951-1957, Gilera was very successful in racing. Umberto Massetti became world champion in 1952 with a comparable racing machine. This Saturno Corsa was built on the basis of an original chassis for Gillera Quatro models. The engine was made by the former chief mechanic of the Gilera works. Besides the magnesium brake system front and rear, the aluminium fairing is the outstanding feature.
