Speedster tribute cars seem to be everywhere these days and it?s nice to see one that?s a little different than the others. This one started with a solid 1967 Volkswagen chassis which makes it smog exempt in many states and very desirable for power modifications. With that being said the power plant in this one is a Mazda fuel injected 13B Rotary engine rated stock at 146 Horsepower which moves this lightweight Sports Car along quite well. Power is put to the road by a 4 Speed manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter and braking has been upgraded to 4 wheel disc. At a glance you see a Vintage Speedster driving by but the widened rear flares and 16 inch Porsche alloys along with some front cooling vents gives away the fact that there is something special about this one. The body is finished in a beautiful Medium Silver Metallic with a Tan folding canvas soft top and unique power window which I have yet to see on a low top Speedster. The interior is comfortable with high back bucket seats, Carbon Fiber styled dash, Dolphin gauge package, Sony AM/ FM CD stereo and even a cold A/ C system. It sounds, runs and drives great and is ready for some weekend motoring!
