1972 OPEL RALLY GT 1900CC COUPE manual. LHD
Finished in a stunning shade of Fireglow orange with black vinyl trim, this car is in first class condition throughout having had a ground up restoration with a photographic record between the years 2007-2020.
The car has been restored to concours condition with a fully detailed engine bay, interior, spare wheel bay. This historic vehicle is both tax and MoT exempt and has covered 89000 miles from new (1800 miles a year average) but has only travelled approx 1800 miles since the g/ up resto. It drives very well indeed. There has been one current UK owner and the vehicle was used overseas prior to this. The German produced Opel GT debuted in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt Motor Shows and is a front engine, rear-drive two seater sports car whose sporty looks are reminiscent of the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette. It wowed the public when it was unveiled then and we are experiencing that same Wow factor even now. The features include: manual gearbox, wood rim steering wheel, tinted glass chrome rim embellishers and very unusual pop up headlights which are manually operated inside the car via a lever next to the gearstick and they both rotate in the same direction.
