The Opel Senator is a large four-door sedan that was sold in Europe for two generations (generation A and B) by the German branch of General Motors. The car was produced from 1978 to 1994. The Senator is the successor to the Opel Commodore.
The Opel Senator A is a car based on the Opel Rekord. Extending the design made room for the six-cylinder inline engines. The Senator A is also more luxurious.
A coupe variant was also made and was called Opel Monza or Vauxhall Royale Coupé. The Monza was produced from 1978 to 1987. The 1982 coupe variant facelift was only offered as an Opel Monza in the UK.
