- First registered on the 9th September 1999, this is 1 of only 25 ‘Carbon Black Edition’ convertible M3s exclusively specified by BMW UK to commemorate the final production run of the E36 M3.

- Since arriving with us in Bicester, the car has benefitted from a 2-stage machine polish to really elevate the Carbon Black Metallic paint, and while there are a fair number of stone chips across the front bumper and bonnet, the car really does present very well.
- The same goes for the interior. The beautiful Modena leather is in remarkably good shape throughout, as are all the controls/ buttons and gauges.
- During the current ownership, it was decided to re-trim the driver's seat bolster in a fresh hide of Modena leather. Due to the hide's rarity, the owner purchased a full roll of hide during the repair, which is included with the sale of the car (should any future repairs be necessary).
- The black fabric hood is in superb condition and operates faultlessly, and a rear wind deflector is also included to reduce wind noise during open-top driving.
WHAT WE THINK
- This E36 M3 really is quite a fabulous thing. Just consider the ingredients:
- 321 bhp @ 7400rpm
- BMW Straight-6 exhaust note
- 6-Speed Manual Gearbox
- Rear wheel drive with LSD
- Harmon Kardon HiFi (that sounds surprisingly good)
- Wonderful BMW buttons/ dials/ gauges
- And all this for under £20, 000? Whichever way you look at it, that's a remarkably good buy...
