1955 Austin Healey 100/ 4 Le Mans Kit

This European-delivered Austin-Healey 100-4 is equipped with a sought-after and powerful Le Mans kit and was fully restored a few years ago. The body finds itself in immaculate condition with excellent panel fittings on doors, bonnet and boot lid. A smashing appearance nicely painted in "Healey Blue" which suits this car so well.
A stunning engine bay fitted with the original engine rebuilt at Specialist CMES in London, UK. Besides the easily recognisable upgrades such as a louvered bonnet and matching leather belt, Le Mans upgrades were also carried out under the bonnet. A new alloy Weslake cylinder head with an M-spec camshaft was fitted. A Le Mans intake collector, larger SU Carburettors, a matching power distributor and a cold air box were also fitted. In short, the full contents of the original Le Mans Kit were fitted including additional upgrades.
The engine, as the heart of the car, received a balanced crankshaft and flywheel, a high-torque starter motor, a more modern alternator with built-in regulator instead of an outdated dynamo. The installation of a larger aluminium radiator and a new fuel tank are nice extras that only increase the car’s reliability
To keep up with the sporty performance of this car's technical features, the exterior has to look at least as sporty as the engine compartment. A Le Mans-style fuel filler, bumper delete and the racey fog lights add to the charm of this race-inspired beauty. As cherry on top the car comes fitted with a side pipe exhaust system creating a glorious Healey bark.
The cockpit is trimmed in a lovely attractive dark blue leather with white piping. The dark blue softtop is in perfect condition as are the tonneau cover and side screens that are present as well.
The sum of the typical 1950s seating position, the sporty sound and great torque in the low rev range of the 2. 6 four-cylinder engine, the 3-speed gearbox with overdrive, the low windscreen etc... make this Austin Healey 100/ 4 an exciting and potent sports car to enjoy.
We can fully understand that the current owner would rather see the car stay than go.
