I have my father’s blue Vauxhall Astra, Mark I ('Y' plate, 3-door hatchback, 1200 cc engine) to dispose of and would like to avoid contacting someone in Yellow Pages to haul it away!
It’s in fair condition, has been a brilliant little run-around for our family since my father’s death in 2001, has only 82, 456 miles on the clock (I think he only took it out of the garage when it was fine weather and then not very far!) and is MOTed until 21 May 2007. However, it’s now definitely surplus to requirements and it’s time to let it go. Apart from all else, it’s now becoming increasingly difficult to source spare parts (as I found last year when one of the headlamps flew out as I braked at a suddenly-changing traffic light!)
