Caterham 7 Roadsport 140: Sigma 1600cc/ 13k Miles
In 1973 Lotus decided to shed its kit car image and sold the rights to the ‘7’ to its only remaining agents in England, Caterham Cars. Initially they used the remaining Lotus S4 kits but by 1974 these had been exhausted and they reverted to their own version of the S3.
The Caterham S3’s, in a number of guises, were quickly acknowledged as a truly outstanding car for both fast road/ track use and today attracts a loyal following with an active club that supports a dedicated race series.
The Caterham Super Seven 140 Roadsport is one of the most desirable Caterham specifications and this example was purchased in 2020 by the last owner, a retired gentleman who has used the car sparingly around West Sussex.

Since being completed the car has only been used in dry weather and covered just 13, 000 miles. The history file contains Owners Handbook/ Service Records, old MOT’s, various invoices, V5 etc.
Nearly all Caterham’s have been used/ abused for years as track day cars with little history and many non-standard upgrades – this example is as it was built and approved at first registration in 2015.
We recommend a personal viewing in order to fully appreciate and experience this remarkable car.
