Stunning Fiat 1200 Cabriolet Pininfarina in excellent condition, Fiat red exterior and restored interior with black seats for an elegant and sporty colour combination. Original documents with "booklet" and black number plates. Contrary to its image as a popular car manufacturer, FIAT almost always had sporty or sporty-looking models in its list. Towards the end of the 1950s, however, they were uncompetitive with sports cars such as Alfa Romeos, and so Fiat decided to create a spider with a more elegant and European taste. The new spider, with bodywork designed by Pininfarina, presented at the 1959 Geneva Motor Show, was christened the '1200 Cabriolet' but was a true two-seater spider. It was such a commercial success that it immediately became the most popular Cabriolet in Italy, recording sales of over 15, 000 units from March 1959 to March 1963.
