Attic find BSA Bantam D7
Stored for many years
Little known about its history

The BSA D7 Bantam, introduced in 1959, was a significant evolution of BSA's popular lightweight motorcycle series. It featured a 173cc two-stroke engine, an increase from its predecessors, and boasted improved performance with 7. 4hp. The D7 Super sported a new swinging arm frame, upgraded brakes, and hydraulically damped forks, enhancing its ride quality and handling. Its distinctive styling included a nacelle-mounted headlamp and slimmed-down mudguards, giving it a more modern appearance. The D7 was available in eye-catching colours like Sapphire Blue and Fuchsia Red, adding a touch of 1960s flair. With a three-speed gearbox and wet clutch, the D7 Super offered a balance of simplicity and practicality. Its affordability, reliability, and ease of maintenance made it a popular choice for commuters and enthusiasts.

This BSA Bantam D7 has been stored in the attic of a barn for many years as is and has recently been removed for the auction. The number plate shown does not apply to this machine and no documentation is offered with the BSA.
