Jaguar has built up a fantastic reputation for extremely beautiful, fast and comfortable sports cars. After the Second World War, the XK120 was the first two-seater that was available in both coupé and OTS (open two seater) and Drop Head Coupé (with windows that can be lowered, draught windows and a more luxurious roof) versions. The XK120 was succeeded in 1954 by the XK140, which in turn was replaced in 1957 by the XK150. The elegance of the XK models was unsurpassable and made the cars popular. Jaguar's successful XK sports cars were succeeded in 1961 by the Jaguar E-Type, which continued the course of masterful designs.
This Jaguar XK150 was delivered new in New York in the United States and is originally a 3. 4 S OTS version. In our opinion the most beautiful and finest XK: all the space and comfort of an XK150 but the beautiful lines of the OTS. And because it is an XK150 OTS, it still has manually operated windows and an easy hood construction. The rear-wheel drive XK150 initially had a six-cylinder engine of 3, 442 cc with which a top speed of 210 km/ h was reached. In 1959, the 3, 781 cc engine became available. This XK150 was later also equipped with a 3, 781 cc engine. The car was sold in 2007 and shipped to Germany. A long-term restoration was carried out there, during which the engine was also overhauled. The extensive documentation of the car includes the notes of the restoration. The Jaguar has been registered in the Netherlands since 2023.
The fits are very good, the paintwork very nice, as well as the chrome and the interior. The colour scheme is fantastic. Due to the fact that the car is used less than expected, this XK can now go to a new enthusiast who will hopefully use the car for what it was intended for: wonderful open-top driving!
