Description
Original Turin number plates – Documented history – Original interior (still with protective side coverings) – Rebuilt mechanicals – Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, the Fiat 500 Spider Allemano is a unique piece of automotive craftsmanship, created specifically for the 1957 Turin Motor Show. Built on the chassis of the Fiat 500 N, it’s a fine example of the Italian coachbuilding tradition that reinterprets the core design language of FIAT models, bringing into focus both the workshop’s workmanship under Serafino Allemano and Giovanni Michelotti’s creative vision. At the Turin Motor Show, the car drew plenty of attention with its irresistible lines and open, airy layout. Among the onlookers was an elegant businessman from Turin, instantly won over by the car’s charm and buying it on the spot. Over the years, this one-of-a-kind vehicle became a faithful companion during summer holidays in Santa Margherita Ligure, where Turin’s aristocracy enjoyed an elegant, independent lifestyle. Although it didn’t receive the same amount of press attention at the time as another rare, beach-ready Fiat 500 (the Boano-branded Fiat 500 in two examples for Avvocato Agnelli and Aristotle Onassis), the Fiat 500 Spider Allemano holds a special place in the history of automotive design. It’s a testament to the experimental spirit and individuality that shaped Italy’s post-war automotive industry. Today, this bespoke creation is remembered for its timeless elegance and its connection to a golden era of Italian design and ingenuity.
