Description
Original Turin number plates - Documented history - Original interior (still with protective side plastics) - Overhauled mechanics - The Fiat 500 Spider Allemano, designed by Giovanni Michelotti, is a unique piece of automotive craftsmanship created especially for the 1957 Turin Motor Show. Built on the chassis of the Fiat 500 N, it is an example of Italian coachbuilding tradition that reinterprets the fundamental designs of FIAT models and played an essential role in highlighting the craftsmanship of Serafino Allemano's workshop and the creative vision of Giovanni Michelotti. At the Turin Motor Show, the car's seductive lines and open-top design attracted much attention. Among the spectators was an elegant businessman from Turin, who was immediately won over by the car's charm and bought it on the spot. Over the years, this unique vehicle became her faithful companion on summer holidays in Santa Margherita Ligure, where the noblewoman from Turin embraced a lifestyle of elegance and independence. Although it did not receive as much press recognition at the time as another rare beach-going Fiat 500 (the Boano-branded Fiat 500 in two examples for Avvocato Agnelli and Aristoteles Onassis), the Allemano Fiat 500 Spider holds a special place in the history of automotive design and is a testament to the spirit of experimentation and individuality that characterised the post-war Italian automotive industry. Today, this bespoke creation is remembered for its timeless elegance and its link to a golden era of Italian design and ingenuity.
