Description
I'm parting with my beloved R60/ 7. I'm not riding it any more. She's looking for a home with a group of vintage motorbike enthusiasts who will keep her purring. It's an old bike: it brakes like a 48-year-old motorbike and needs attention. Since I've had it, it's always slept in a garage under a sheet. It's in very good condition. The MOT, dated 14 May 2025, is clean.
I'm not a mechanic. It has been serviced by enthusiasts (first by BMW, then by Maxpower). I've got the invoices (for more than €4500). It starts like a youngster (I've just changed the battery) and the purr of the Vattier pots turns everyone's heads. The odometer says 73700 km, but it's already gone round the dial.
The BMW fuel tank is not original to the / 7 (it's a / 5), but it's so much nicer. The battery covers are chrome (from earlier series) and much more elegant than the originals. There's a cut-out on the one on the right (that's how I got it). It's not the original saddle either, but it does the job so well.
As it's its age, there are a few light scratches on the front mudguard. It comes with its original tool kit (rolled leather pouch with keys, spark plug and tyre levers) and its technical magazine.
Optional extras include: a pair of cylinder guards that are well marked and that I've never fitted, a suitcase carrier and two waterproof Givi trunks (with superficial marks) with their keys, a pair of Cibié long staves that fit over the cylinder guards, a BMW handle, two rubbed BMW driver's footrests, an original left-hand rear-view mirror with a broken mirror and a damaged original seat. There are also gaskets for the engine and other odds and ends. Kind regards.
