Powered by a 3. 2-litre flat 6 engine developing 232bhp, this version is more versatile than its predecessors, and can be used on a daily basis. Today, it continues to seduce with its authenticity, comfort and reliability.
The car was delivered new on 15/ 05/ 1985 in Germany before being exported to California, and is accompanied by its service book and an extensive maintenance file, including almost €75, 000 worth of invoices since 1997. This 911 has now covered a total of 298, 800 km, or around 7, 500 km a year since leaving the factory, and is still in great shape!
The odometer delivered new in KM was converted to miles in 2017 at 266447km.
Unlike many 911s on the market which have suffered damage to their odometers and had to be replaced, this one proudly displays its mileage. Mechanically, the car behaves perfectly, its engine starts easily without noise or smoke and has full power. The engine was rebuilt in 1999, at which time it had clocked up 138, 000 km.
The 5-speed 915 gearbox was rebuilt in 2012, and the gears shift and lock well. The clutch was replaced on the occasion.
Maintenance was carried out last year, as was the injection system, which was overhauled and the air conditioning recharged . The running gear is precise, the steering is firm and has no abnormal play . The brakes are effective and perfectly balanced . The shock absorbers are in good condition and provide firm, precise handling . The Michelin tyres were replaced in 2022 and a geometry test was carried out .
The battery has been replaced for the sale, and a battery isolator has also been fitted. The paintwork, although presentable, has a few defects, mainly on the front wings and rear trunk. It is possible to repaint it partially or completely for an additional charge. The Targa roof was redone 10 years ago and is in very good condition. The underbody is in keeping with the general condition of the car. Sound, with no corrosion or traces of a major accident.
The upholstery was redone in 2017 and is in very good condition with a slight patina that we particularly appreciate.
There is a crack in the dashboard, which we can offer to replace as an extra. All the instruments are in perfect working order. The vehicle is equipped with cruise control.
