Description

The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced in the UK from 1923 until 1939. Nicknamed the "Baby Austin", at that time it was one of the most popular cars produced for the British market. Its impact in the UK was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s.

This Austin 7 Chummy was first registered in London on the 1st January 1930, and in more recent times spent a number of years in Hampshire.

The Chummy has a lovely sounding engine, its very quiet and runs great. There is no frost damage and all fluids are in the correct places.

The car drives very nicely, the gears are direct and the clutch as an Austin 7 should be. It handles well and is fitted with good tyres all round.

The body is very sound and the underneath as good as the top side, it is an older restoration which has now mellowed, it is far from immaculate but presents nicely.

The interior was been retrimmed when it was restored and is still in lovely order. The car also comes with full wet weather gear including side screens.

We have a large history file which includes the present V5.
