Beautiful 500 E with original stamped booklets, classic data, TUV reports and stacks of service invoices. It has been sold by a collector and is virtually as new. Newly delivered to Germany, extensively documented and almost fully serviced by the Mercedes dealer. Even the German valuation reports and the purchase invoice are present. Delivered new on 5 May 1993 at Hofheim-Wallau for 148, 870. 03 DM... including air conditioning, metallic paint, cruise control, sun/ tilt roof and alarm. The E was delivered new in the rare "929 Nautikblau" metallic colour and this colour looks great on the car. It's understated and classic. It's crazy that this colour hasn't been ordered more often. It's definitely a colour of choice for this youngtimer. Largely in its original paintwork with virtually no signs of use. Passed without damage or rust. A further Dinitrol treatment was carried out in 2015, photos are available. The original 8 hole alloy wheels show no damage and are fitted with excellent tyres. The suspension is original and lowered by 17mm and has a leveller at the rear. As the bodywork is slightly wider than the standard W124, it wasn't possible to produce the car on an assembly line. So they asked Porsche to build the 500 E by hand in Zuffenhausen. It took no less than 18 days for each 500 E to be completed, with the body being transported to Sindelfingen for painting. The car then returned to Porsche for the engine, finishing and testing. The advantage is that the exclusive 500 E is less prone to rust than other W 124 models, and the interior is entirely original and in perfect condition. The sports seats are covered in a magnificent fabric (078 grau) with leather cheeks. The 500 E was partly built at Porsche, where inspiration was drawn from the emblematic pepita karo upholstery. Timelessly beautiful, they are perfectly suited to sporty use. The seats are fully electrically adjustable and are virtually wear-free. The carpets and seat backs are also almost as good as new. The dashboard features wooden inlays and the classic Becker Mexico 2000 radio with engine aerial. This 500 E belongs to a private collector and has been perfectly maintained. In addition to the usual servicing +/- 15, 000 km ago, the complete valve train has been replaced, including all necessary seals, steering pump filter, alternator, battery, engine wiring harness, oil cooler hoses, etc. Service invoices and numerous photos are included.
